Business Development Manager This is a direct hire position. If you thrive on creating impact and building opportunities that change lives, all while shaping the future of our workforce, then YUPRO Placement is the place for you!  We are an award-winning, mission-driven team looking for our next business development director to grow with us!  This role will support the growth of the organization and increase our market share by researching, locating, developing, defining, and securing employer relationships that result in revenue and headcount growth year over year, while making an impact in the skills-first hiring movement.Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate and qualify leads through warm and cold outreach to drive new business, revenue, and talent placements.Conduct engaging sales presentations, negotiate terms, and manage end-to-end contract execution.Maintain a strong sales pipeline with clear documentation, pipeline management, and close ratio accountability.Collaborate with internal teams across YUPRO Placement and Year Up to deliver consistent, high-quality client experiences.Reactivate dormant accounts and expand existing client partnerships to achieve year-over-year growth.Champion fair market wages and consult with clients to align compensation with candidate skill sets.Identify and secure job opportunities that support career progression, assignment retention, and equitable outcomes for underrepresented talent.Required Skills & CompetenciesProven success in consultative B2B selling with ability to identify client needs, propose solutions, and negotiate deals.Experience navigating complex stakeholder relationships, including senior executives and line-of-business leaders.Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work cross-functionally and independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.High attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.Passion for DEI, early career talent, and driving meaningful workforce change.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.Experience & EducationDemonstrated experience in strategic account management, staffing, or consultative sales.Demonstrated success in growing enterprise-level accounts.High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education or certifications in sales/negotiation are a plus.Experience working in a startup or small business environment is strongly preferred.Volunteer or nonprofit involvement is a plus.Salary and Benefits:Salary: 70K + commissionsSalaried position with opportunity to earn uncapped commissions.Medical, dental, vision, STD, voluntary life insurance, mobile phone allowance, 401k, and EAP.15 paid company holidays, 200 prorated hours PTO, 40 prorated hours of sick time annually.YUPRO Placement is the nation’s leading skills-first placement firm placing and promoting historically overlooked talent into permanent hire, apprenticeship, and contract job assignments.
